I'm Eloho Oru and I am passionate about helping brands tell their stories in the most unique, fun, and creative ways, through design.
I am a self-taught Designer who has learned the concepts and processes of design thinking and UI/UX design through multiple courses, reading blogs, following design communities and applying the knowledge to my work.
When I’m working on projects I particularly enjoy focusing on personalising the digital and graphic design details to be specific and unique to the brand. But ultimately, my complete satisfaction comes from seeing my projects fully realise, end-to-end.
Before transitioning into product design, I got my first degree in Biomedicine and my second degree in Business with Marketing. Yes, I know they’re such different courses, but I like to believe I am one of the few people special enough to see how they’re linked (haha). My internal nudge towards helping brands tell their stories initially came through marketing, but as my creativity increased, I realised I wanted the skill set to be able to actualise my graphic ideas and that’s how my journey began.
Self-learning is my language, and although it's not always the easiest journey, so far I’ve taught myself Graphic design, UI/ UX design and Intermediate French, Wig making, Podcast editing, and podcast script writing.
Je parle un peu français, eh bien, pas un peu, je parle plus qu'un peu, mais j'apprends encore. Apprendre le français est l'une des expériences les plus difficiles mais les plus intéressantes de tous les temps.
FORMULA 1
To me, Formula 1 remains the greatest sport ever, and growing up finding friends that watched F1 was a sport in itself. But the community is quickly growing and I couldn’t be happier. People always ask my what’s so interesting about watching people drive around for about 2 hours, and to that I say, I’m yet to see a more intense and dramatic sport. Not to mention the constant Hot mic moments!
P.S: Drive to survive on Netflix is a good introduction into the F1 world #TeamMercedes.
TRAVELLING
Ready. Set. Fly.
There’s nothing like a good vacation. I love a good mix of adventure and relaxation, fine dining and street food, quad biking and a spa date; Count me in!!! I’m always down to immerse myself in the culture and enjoy all aspects of what the country has to offer. Travelling is truly one of my passions and more importantly one of the things that keeps me balanced. I’m way too restless to stay put for a long period, and the truth I think we should all be!
REALITY TV
Everyone has a guilty pleasure, and this is mine! Whether it’s Love is Blind, or The real housewives of Beverley Hills, you can trust that I’m interested in knowing the “meaningless” feuds they have. Scripted or not, I stand on my opinion that it’s one of the best ways to unwind.
CINEMA
I am very very much a dedicated Cinephile. There’s no place I find more relaxing that the cinema. And I can’t quite figure out if it’s just the excuse eat copious amounts of snacks or the “excuse” to be off your phone for a couple of hours. Anyways, I’ve always loved watching TV, so it’s no shock to me that I love a good cinema marathon.
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
Mental health awareness has been a strong, strong passion of mine for the past 6 years. The struggle to be your the best version of yourself is indeed very real. And we can all benefit from learning to support each other in whatever way is necessary. Be it on the radio, or on my podcast. My mission remains the same; We must break the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
